Derby Weekend City v Swindon

Well our weekend started on Friday evening 14 oct

We arrived at Acorn Fishery about 5 in the afternoon and unloaded our gear and set up ready for our match with Swindon due to start at 8 sat morning , but first we went to the local pub for some food and to watch the big Match, Cardiff v City on Sky , we had our food and a few drinks ready for the match but not the result we all wanted 2-1 to Cardiff !

We made are way back to the lake to get some sleep ready for our 36hr Carp match with Swindon Town lads, that were due in the morning,

I woke up to the phone ringing, the Swindon lads had arrived it was now 6.30. So they set about getting sorted for the match .It was soon 8 and the match was under way on the lake

.As the day went on it became a long waiting game but with no fish to show for both teams!

As night closed in every one settled down with some food ready for wot the night brought us.

Around 3 am in morning there is a text Chris Gage had a fish 4lb-8oz Mirror Carp first fish to City ,not long after 5am Barry Meredith had a fish on the bank, 18lb-7oz Mirror Carp 2nd fish to city!

10am another fish for city , pete with 4lb-14oz Mirror Carp!

Things were looking good after Saturdays poor start with city 27lb13oz in the lead!

Then it was Swindons turn with a 14lb-2oz Common Carp , the lake was now coming to life .

Next up was Chris with his second fish 22lb Mirror Carp, extending citys lead.

Then it was Luke Coxs turn for city with another 13lb.12oz Common Carp followed by a 22lb-7oz Common Carp for Luke and rounding off the day was a 18lb-4oz Common Carp for Tim Coole helping City to a great win! against Swindon!
